Staying in shape during the holiday season is difficult. With lots of delicious meals, parties and gatherings taking place far more frequently, and the weather cooling off (making it more difficult to get outside and be active), it’s a perfect storm to pack on some holiday pounds. Of course, this leads to a New Year’s resolution you’ll set and not keep, but that’s a story for another day. Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays around here. It is a wonderful time to get everyone together and enjoy the three Fs – food, family, and football! And while you may have found the perfect home for every other day of the year, a home that can accommodate a big family (and kids) is critical this time of year. Here are some things to consider when you’re hosting Thanksgiving.
Parking. No, it’s not a glamorous thing, but it’s important to think of. If you’re hosting people who are coming in from out of town, they are going to have cars. They’re also going to be bringing things, whether gifts, wine, or their legendary green bean casserole. Think about where they can park and if you’re going to be making them traipse over the river and through the woods to get to your abode.
